Lets get back to the basics
There is so much going on in our city, nation and the world. I remember when there was a much simpler time. when the neighbors new each other, and new your children as well. People weren't going hungry, you could borrow eggs and sugar even milk. The kids always knew who was going to be at home and rushed to their friend's house, because they knew that Mrs. Futch was already home from work cooking dinner, that was when we knew that it truly takes a village to raise a child. Our children played outside together, they played ball, jumped rope, and what ever game they could come up with, and they new exactly what time to be home, before the street lights came on; but they better not act up and let the neighbor see them, not only would they get corrected by the neighbor but when parents found out they were in really deep troubled water.
Our children actually played together, oh yeah there would be fights, fist fights, no guns, just a good ole fist fight. We helped our neighbors that were in need. Where did all of this go? Why is there so much anger and hostility? So where do we go from here and where do we grow from here?

For us helping our neighbors is away of life. As we profess to be a apart of the body of Christ, our attitudes and demeanor should resemble Christ. Not just when there is a crisis but each and every day. It is because of His love and Amazing Grace that we breathe the breath of life daily.
